Dear Reader, Have you ever wanted to know what it's like to be immortal? To journey through the night stalking the evil that preys on humans? To have unlimited wealth, unlimited power? That is my existence, and it is dark and dangerous. I play hero to thousands, but am known to none. And I love every minutes of it. Or so I thought until one night when I woke up handcuffed to my worst nightmare: a conservative woman in a button-down shirt. Or in Amanda's case, one buttoned all the way up to her chin. She's smart, sexy, witty, and wants nothing to do with the paranormal--in other words, me. My attraction to Amanda Devereaux goes against everything I stand for. Not to mention the last time I fell in love it cost me not only my human life, but also my very soul. Yet every time I look at her, I find myself wanting to try again. Wanting to believe that love and loyalty do exist. Even more disturbing, I find myself wondering if there's any way a woman like Amanda can love a man whose battle scars run deep, and whose heart was damaged by a betrayal so savage that he's not sure it will ever beat again. "Kyrian of Thrace"
In the past two years, "New York Times" bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon has claimed the #1 spot twelve times, and since 2004, she has placed more than 50 novels on the "New York Times" list. This extraordinary bestseller continues to top every genre she writes. With more than 23 million copies of her books in print in over 30 countries, her current series include: "The Dark-Hunters," "The League," "Lords of Avalon," "BAD Agency," "Chronicles of Nick" and "Nevermore." A preeminent voice in paranormal fiction, Kenyon helped pioneer and define the current paranormal trend that has captivated the world. She lives with her husband, three sons, a menagerie of animals and a collection of swords.

I continue with the re-reading of this fantastic saga. This second book, like the first one, has a horrible cover, but the insides are super sensual, humoristic, full of sarcasm, and of course, lots of love.
In this book we get to know Kirian of Thrace, who was already spoken about in the first book -so those of you who have a sharp mind will be expecting some scenes, and the rest of you will find some pleasant surprises-, an ancient prince and warrior that, betrayed and killed, was converted into a Dark Hunter.
On the other hand we have Amanda, an accountant from the XXI century that's sick of her family's craziness (witch her? what the hell are you saying?) and of her romantic failures. Because of her wild twin, she ends in the biggest trouble ever, chained to the sexiest and most attractive man, who happens to have lots of secrets (do I have to say who's him?).
Although this is the first book in the saga in which the main story is introduced, this is, the Dark Hunters plot, it isn't just introductory at all, as usually happens with the fist books. We find many explanations, of course, but they're not overwhelming or excessive. We have much romance, irony, drama and action.
Unlike the first book, the plot of this one has more depth, and much more action. Moreover, I warn you since now that in this book you'll find lots of future main characters, so if you read this book, I advise you to be alert to all of them while reading.
If you have already read the first book and you liked it, don't hesitate and continue reading the next books. And if you still haven't... what are you waiting for?? ¡You're going to love it!

Well Kyrian of Thrace does - well he did until he woke up handcuffed to his worst nightmare! Amanda Devereaux, conservative, smart and wants nothing at all to do with the paranormal - in other words Kyrian of Thrace.
Kyrian is an immortal Dark Hunter, he protects humans by stalking the vampires who prey on them. Wealthy, powerful, dark and dangerous, he's a hero and he loves every minute of it.
His attraction to Amanda goes against everything he believes in, he's been hurt before which cost him dearly. Will he allow himself to believe in love again? And will Amanda allow herself to be drawn into his world?
Sherrilyn Kenyon delivers again, her characters are sexy and incredibly likeable and the story kept me turning page after page like a woman possessed.
