In this title, Comic's legend Alan Moore ("Watchmen" and "V for Vendetta") and artist Jacen Burrows deliver a chilling tale of Lovecraftian horror! Brears and Lamper, two FBI agents, investigate ritual murders somehow tied to the final undercover assignment of Aldo Sax - the once golden boy of the Bureau! "Neonomicon" collects Moore's 2010 series-including his original story, "The Courtyard".

This is one of the most explicit graphic novels I've read. Trigger warnings for explicit rape, murder, racism.
I was genuinely shocked by the content of this graphic novel, which is in keeping with the experience of many of Lovecraft's characters. There are a number of puns and cute touches in the early part of this graphic novel, with increasing levels of violence and explicit sex as it goes on.
It is a well-written and drawn piece of work, but definitely not for the faint of heart.
