Product description

My Cool Campervan celebrates the new wave of interest in campervans and motorhomes, and the diverse ways that owners are styling them. Campervans have always had a certain appeal to those who buy into the notion of the open road but the current interest in all things retro has led to a new generation exploring the freedoms which they offer. My Cool Campervan is unique in celebrating all types of campervan - looking beyond the VW to vans from other manufacturers and earlier eras. It includes over 30 examples from the UK, US, Europe and Australia, including classics such as the Dormobile, VW, Commervan and Winnebago. A visual voyage through time, the book features stylish photography, informative text and the owners' stories of their love affairs with their vans. With an engaging text and beautifully styled photography, My Cool Campervan aims to inspire a new generation of campervan owners. The Caravan Club estimate that there are 130,000 motorhome owners in the UK and it is a fast growing sector.

Jane is a London-based stylist working in film and photography. She co-owns a 1970s retro--modern styled caravan -- a perfect little hideaway where it is easy to be creative. Chris Haddon is a multi-disciplinary designer with almost 20 years experience. He has a huge passion for all things retro and among his collection of vintage caravans is his studio which is a converted 1960s Airstream. He had for many years hankered after the perfect classic car to accompany his retro caravans. The journey that he took when looking for the car he now owns led him to admire and consider many various possibilities along the way.
