I am beginning to think that this husband and wife team author is another Jim Butcher! I don't know how they do it, but, they seem to churn out masterpiece after masterpiece every time!! Story telling quality? Hell, the book grabs you by the scruff of your neck and yanks you away to an alternate universe that a reader forgets the real world!! Ilona Andrews blends the magical with the believable so seamlessly that the border line between what is real and what is not blurs into indistinction. That, is what I call entertainment!! I would give the suspension of disbelief a 5 out of 5. World building? Another 5 out of 5. I've seen around the blogosphere that a lot of readers nominate Kate and Curran as their favourite fictional character or hero/heroine. Anther evidence of the writing skills of Ilona Andrews for character development. I would give it a 5 out of 5. Another masterpiece. It didn't escape my notice that Penguin has cheekily stamped this book with a "Great Read Guaranteed!" offer with money back assurance until August 1, 2010. Had I bought this copy, I won't be one of them getting my money back :) I would give this book an overall rating of 5 out of 5. by Cherry
Another great installment in the Kate Daniels series! The books get progressively better with each one. The writing is clean and concise and sucks you in from the first page. The plot is tight and the villain is very well done. The romantic tension between Kate and Curran is deftly handled and in the end you are both satisfied and impatiently wanting more. Well done team Andrews! by Brooke
