Product description

'Lovely's Island' is a wonderful odyssey of finding love and discovering one's self. The characters are placed in the idyllic setting of the Cyclades, as they are yachting the Aegean Sea. The heroes' lives change during a summer vacation in Greece, where a series of unexpected events occur. Everyone, either keeps a secret, or maintains an undisclosed past. However, in the book 'Lovely's Island', no secret can be kept in the dark forever; the need to share the truth persists. Grasp the opportunity to live the passion and the mystery of the Cyclades, and allow the narrators to trigger your need for some personal soul searching. What happens when Sandra, Christopher, Ricardo, Maria, Juliana, Hermes, Petros, Marios, Agapi, Babo and Lovely get to know each other better? The reader may even learn from their mistakes, as Dr. Young tries to improve the angle of their perception. The author, a Greek-American, instills the many graces of Greece in the reader. As Greece is the founder of the Hellenic term 'philoxenia' (=hospitality), one successfully feels invited to enjoy this hospitable literary home of summer thrill. Let the pages guide you through an endless vivid paradise of finger-licking Greek cuisine, historic tradition, azure geography, pristine coastlines, cosmopolitan beaches, sensational sunsets, salty aromas, and festive music, so as to portray the true essence of the region. A dramatic twist will change the sequence of events, as fate will unpredictably play its role in intertwining the characters' destinies. Evidently, a perplexity of psychologies and behaviors unravel a tinge of mystery, a dash of adventure, a rush of romance, and a heated passion in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. Specifically, Sandra starts the tale as an American teenager, where she takes a cruise to the Greek islands, accompanied by her aunt and uncle. Little does she know that this trip will change her destiny altogether. As they say, 'love is so strong it can even move mountains.' The

I did not finish this book. I am amazed it was published actually - it is written like middle high school English class... I was so hoping for something more & was bitterly disapointed. Perhaps the plot evolved into something of quality but if you are looking for a well written quality piece, this is book is simply not it.

It is noteworthy how the author has succeeded in sharing the experiences of 4 women who after a long summer cruise are seeking advice on the never-ending perplexing issue of falling in love. Amazing and even a bit humorous, how the same vacation is examined by so many perspectives! The surpise ending says it all!! If you haven't read it yet, you are missing out!

In this breathtaking cruise,we're allured by 1 detective cat, 2 wedding ceremonies, 3 visits to Syros by Sandra, 4 pregnancies,5 males in love, 6 lovemaking scenes, over 7 finger-licking feasts in 8 Cycladic islands. The romances can only untangle themselves thanks to Babo's journal. Wow!

Αs I read it, I could not leave its pages. Lovely's Island is a very exciting story, which portrays very sentimentally charged charachters. The one-of-a-kind plot reaches a climax with dexterity. It a successful novel for all ages. Very modern, romantic and embellished with advanced vocabulary. You simply fall in love it with, just like with the Greek islands.

A pure novel in terms of narration, dialogue and graphic description. I honestly enjoyed this "real-life" vacation in the Aegean. I felt like I was yachting the blue seas, and enjoying the Greek food, and all of Greece's wonders along with the charachters of the story. Romance, suspense, joy and thrill, kept me glued to its pages.
