Beginner and intermediate-level knitters can now enjoy the Japanese-style cuteness of crocheted amigurumi toys in knitted designs. Amigurumi is very popular with crocheters and now knitters can satisfy their hunger for the tiny and adorable! In "Knitting Mochimochi", knitted amigurumi guru Anna Hrachovec offers instruction on the basic supplies and techniques needed for knitting 20 colourful (and humorous) patterns that have the same fun, witty sensibility as their crocheted counterparts - along with information on how to create an original toy design.

Anna Hrachovec launched Mochimochi Land, a website and brand of knitted toy patterns, in early 2007. Her original knitted creations have been featured on The Martha Stewart Show, around the web and in print, and have been exhibited in galleries in New York, Seattle and Tokyo.
"Hrachovec takes the art of knitted toys in an unusual and unexpected direction in her first pattern collection. She includes the standard tiny, cute animals but also knitted mountains, UFOs, pencils, a pocket protector that is, literally, a pocket protector monster, and a creation she calls the 'Grouchy Couch.'" --"Library Journal"
