Reviews for The Kite Runner
The is a tale of friendship, of betrayal, of tragedy. It is a fantastic, gripping read that the author masterfully drags you through a range of emotions. It really takes you into the world of the protagonist, allowing you to become fully engrossed. I especially enjoyed how the book was set in a historical background, with the characters so well developed and so true to life, with many character flaws, yet it is in that way that we can connect somewhat with those in the story.
I had quite high expectations of the book, having heard about it many times before, and having read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author, which is one of the best books I've ever read. Although I did thoroughly enjoy it, I still maintain Suns is a better book, it touched me in ways that this book didn't. by Felix Li
