Product description

This superb collection of action photographs presents an evocative record of Isle of Man Tourist Trophy motorcycle road racing from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. It recalls an era when the worlds top riders raced over the legendary Mountain Course, then narrower, twistier and bumpier than it is today. The sharp images captured by Kirtons, an Island-based photography business, show some of the greatest names from TT history in action on more than 20 different makes of machine.

Review quote

"In this superb quality soft-back book are a collection of action photographs that present an evocative record of road racing from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. It recalls an era when the worlds top riders raced over the legendary Mountain Course, then narrower and bumpier than it is today. ... What can I say other than it is must for all TT fans who were there or who just love the history of the event and Mick Duckworth had done an excellent job in captioning each one. It is also an excellent work for those who just love photography." - Ian Kerr, www.interbike.co.uk
