This book is fantastic! I have recommended it to all my friends! It has great juice recipes for the most common illnesses - unclear skin, high blood pressure. They are very effective. Also, it has a 3 day detox plan. I was scared of starving to death 3 days with only juices and tonic waters recommended in the book, but actually the fruit and vegetables in the juices are combined in such a way that they give the body all carbohydrates and proteins that it requires not to feel hungry. Jason had combined all of the fruit and veg in such a way that all juices taste great, even if they have beetroot and spinach. The detox was so effective that in 3 days I lost 3kg that I have been trying to lose for 3 years and my body felt really cleansed and energised after the detox! I am using this book every day and I cannot stop recommending it further! Enjoy!

I have read and enjoyed other books by Jason Vale, and had high expectations of "The Juice Master Keeping it Simple". There is an opening section on drinks to appeal to children, which some people will find useful. The Detox section was good; but as the book wore on, the recipes became very repetitive. I expected more of the Kitchen Pharmacy section, but found it quite limited. I was also wary of Jason Vale's assertion that "a recent study has shown that simply drinking fruit and vegetable juice three times a week reduces the risk of getting Alzheimer's disease by 76 per cent"; a footnote referencing this study would have been helpful. After all, if this is true, then it is a very important piece of information. All in all, I was disappointed by the book; if you want a really good book on juicing, I would recommend Michael van Straten's "Super Juice", an altogether superior product.
