JAMES HERRIOT was a veterinarian in Yorkshire, England for over half a century until his death in 1995. His bestselling books have sold more than twenty million copies in the English language alone; they include "All Creatures Great and Small"; "All Things Bright and Beautiful"; "All Things Wise and Wonderful"; "The Lord God Made Them All"; and "Every Living Thing." Christopher Timothy starred as James Herriot in "All Creatures Great and Small," the internationally renowned BBC television series based on Herriot's work.
