Karl's no Idiot...
...he's just got a very different perspective on everything. How often have you visited something like a Wonder of the World and felt obliged to get all gushy about it, because everyone else is. It's a refreshing change to have someone wonder why you'd even want to look at the Great Wall of China from Space, or consider why the massive Christ figure has an undefined chin and beard and it's all sort of merged into a lumpy chin. I loved the TV show and the book was great for all the additional stuff, a bit more background and a lot more "Karlisms".
Karl should get into Parliament - would be great to have someone who cuts to the chase! by Lesley Lyonsunder review
