In this captivating guided journal, readers are encouraged to explore their world as both artists and scientists. The mission Smith proposes? ?To document and observe the world around you. As if you?ve never seen it before. Take notes. Collect things you find on your travels. Document findings. Notice patterns. Copy. Trace. Focus on one thing at a time. Record what you are drawn to.? Nicola I love the ideas in this book and the ideas it generates. I am going to make a special family exploring backpack with a special journal each, this book, camera and drawing utensils etc to keep on the ready for weekends and holidays. Am looking forward to keeping the journals to give back to the children when they grow up. It will be filled with memories and fun. by Nicola

Belinda Andrews This book requires a lot of 'found objects'. I tried to complete the exercises but couldn't intergrate them into my every day life (house->car->office and back) so never managed to use it. by Belinda Andrews
