I love the ideas in this book and the ideas it generates. I am going to make a special family exploring backpack with a special journal each, this book, camera and drawing utensils etc to keep on the ready for weekends and holidays. Am looking forward to keeping the journals to give back to the children when they grow up. It will be filled with memories and fun.

This book requires a lot of 'found objects'. I tried to complete the exercises but couldn't intergrate them into my every day life (house->car->office and back) so never managed to use it.
"Both daring and meditative, "How to Be an Explorer of the World" is part Maira Kalman, part Wendy MacNaughton, part its very own kind of whimsy, delivering -- beautifully -- exactly what it says on the tin, with an invitation to be just a little bit more alive each day." --Brain Pickings
