DescriptionTHEY'RE LIVING LIFE TO THE EXTREME...AND BURNING UP THE COLD MOUNTAIN NIGHTS Only total desperation could reunite Dianna Kelley with Sam MacKenzie, the irresistible bad boy she walked out on ten years ago. But the fearless firefighter with the awesome wilderness skills is the only one who can take her where she needs to go. It's a gamble--tracking down her endangered sister while keeping Sam and their undeniable attraction at arm's length. Not easy when they're trekking into a remote corner of the Rockies, where she's got to trust her former lover with her life. Despite their past, Sam never could refuse a damsel in distress, especially one who has haunted his dreams for years. He'll help find her sister and get Dianna out of his system once and for all. But soon it's hard to tell whether the greatest threat is from the rushing rapids, the deadly enemy on their trail, or the passion that's sending them straight into the line of fire....

  • Hot and Danger4

Leanne Lingwood My summary of the book - After 10 years apart Sam still rushes to Dianna's side after hearing she was in a car accident and soon ends up helping her look for her sister. Soon the past catches up with them and they have to sort out the past to be able to sort out the present and future. The passion still sizzles between the pair and they can't forgot the love they had for each other those 10 years before.

Thoughts on the characters - Dianna seems like she has control of her life but when seeing Sam again she realises she never got over him and all the feelings come back to her in a rush which confuses her. When he says that he will help her find her sister she starts to realise what a true man he is and how he looks after her without insulting her own self. She realises that he is still the man for her and would do anything to keep him in her life.
Sam is a strong caring man who would do anything for the ones he loves and all he wants to do is to make sure they are fine so when Dianna needs his help he can't walk away. He manages to help trek through the mountains to find her sister and has amazing patience when trying to talk Dianna into riding rough rivers and climbing cliffs. He has never stopped loving Dianna and would love for her to be back in his life and they have the life they should have had.

Thoughts on the writing style - Very easy and engaging so not difficult to read and you can keep up with what is going on in the story.

Overall thoughts - Good book with passion, love and a bit of mystery and danger. Can't wait to read the other book in the series. by Leanne Lingwood

Monica Sharma The story had potential but didn't capture my attention. Dianna, a reporter, walked away from Sam ten years ago. She had her reasons but throughout the novel, my opinion of her was that of a self-pity type of person. She just walked out without telling Sam what was wrong. by Monica Sharma
