Reviews for The Hobbit
I will continue to re-read this for years to come
"...Many of you have likely read this before, some of you have probably read it many times over, but I find that it's absolutely worth reading more than once. It's a great story of adventure and fantasy, and I had almost forgotten how many little songs Tolkien has peppered throughout the story! They were a lot of fun, and Bilbo's at the end is very sweet. Another huge bonus for map-geeks like me (I know there are others of you out there), there are a couple of maps in this book..."

The life of an ordinary and respectable hobbit involves little adventures. Bilbo Baggins had been living an ordinary and respectable life until a wizard by the name of Gandalf unexpectedly recruited him as a burglar, accompanying a group of dwarves on a mission to raid the treasures hoarded by Smaug the Magnificent, a dangerous dragon.
"The Hobbit" take readers on a journey with Bilbo Baggins, following him as he cleverly deals with elves, dwarves, goblins, dragons and more. Unleashing his adventurous side, Bilbo Baggins discovers there is more to life than his comfortable home and quaint lifestyle back in Hobbiton.
Complete with maps, poems, songs, and funny editorial comments, this is a must read for fantasy lovers. It has everything from elves, dragons, goblins, dwarves, wizards and more! The story has been excellently written, it is engaging, and never a boring moment.
Descriptive, charming, and enjoyable, this book is a tale about the need to get out of the comfort zones and see the world and beyond. Sure there will be bizarre and dangerous moments, but in the end, we all learn something about ourselves and the world around us.
While it is an fantastic book on its own, it also acts as a prequel to the "Lord of the Rings" series.
"The Hobbit" is one of my all-time favourite books, and therefore I highly recommend it! by BookishNature.comunder review
