Rebecca Woodward Despite the similar subject of bondage, this story reads more like a porno script than a novel. The sex scenes are not sexy, it's more sex because the author wanted the book to be hot. It is fast paced. I read the whole book in under 2 hours. I am unsure what the 2 main characters liked about each other. 90% of the time they spent together was sexual. So the relationship between them left me confused. It wasn't real BDSM, it was about women being submissive and men learning how to give women orgasms. It's not the best I have read. It's not a book I would read again. It's not even a good introduction to the world of bondage. The rules, safety measures and emotion between the master and submissive is missing. Natalie's friendship with Jan is also strange. How 2 women who are as close as sisters, and talk at least 3 times a week can go without speaking for as long as they did and it is ok because Jan was having casual sex confused me. Also, the secrecy of Haven is understandable due to the sensitive nature of the experience, but it is more like a sex hotel than a true exploration of your inner desires and pleasures. Your connection to your own body and your partners is lacking. by Rebecca Woodward
