I've used this cookbook so much the pages are falling out. The recipes are healthy, quick and easy and unlike many American cookbooks, the ingredients are very easy to find in the UK if you have a good supermarket and health food store nearby. Some of our favourites are the Quick Burgers, Moroccan Lentil Soup, Rustic Chili, Thai Lettuce Wraps, Chana Saag, Arroz Amarillo and Veggie Lo Mein (so much better than Chinese takeaway!). The Chili-Sweet Mango Noodles are so delicious and the Butter Bean Cookies are amazing. And the Chocolate Mug Cake is perfect if you need a quick choccy fix. It makes a single serving and cooks in the microwave!
And not only are the recipes delicious, but I have lost a stone and a half (and kept it off) over the past two years while eating a low-fat, whole foods vegan diet Ã???????????????????Ã??????????????????Ã?????????????????Ã????????????????Ã???????????????Ã??????????????Ã?????????????Ã????????????Ã???????????Ã??????????Ã?????????Ã????????Ã???????Ã??????Ã?????Ã????Ã???Ã??Ã?Â¢?? 90% of it Happy Herbivore recipes.

I received this book today and i'm so disappointed.
Most of the photos are out of focus, I get the whole partly focused images but these weren't not that, they were poor quality and pretty bland looking. It didn't make me excited about becoming a vegan at all, which was the reason for buying the book!

I'm vegetarian rather than vegan, but ordered this book as I'm a big fan of the website and always found something inspiring or new flavour combinations that I never would have thought of on my own.
This book is gorgeous, lots of wonderful recipes and pictures and everything is so quick and easy. There are only a few specialist ingredients you need to find, such as nutritional yeast and agave nectar, but I managed to find both of those at my health food store. There are other ingredients which are strictly American, but I plan on just finding alternatives to the things I can't find easily and in the true nature of Happy Herbivore, experimenting until I find a substitute.
