He has worked in plant design and operation in a variety of industries, taught at several engineering schools, and lectured both in the United States and abroad. Mr. Hicks is the author of more than 20 books in engineering and related fields, including Handbook of Energy Engineering Calculations and Civil Engineering Formulas, Second Edition. Nicholas Chopey (deceased) was Editor-in-Chief at Chemical Engineering magazine, with more than 45 years' experience in engineering and publishing.
