DescriptionDesigned by Manuel Raeder in close collaboration with the artist, this fully illustrated catalogue focuses on Haegue Yang's concurrent 2011 exhibitions at Modern Art Oxford and the Aspen Art Museum. Both exhibitions featured newly commissioned work by the Seoul- and Berlin-based artist, who is known for her colorful and sensorial installations and sculptures that occupy the in-between spaces where public and private meet. The publication features essays by Julian Stallabrass (Reader, Courtauld Institute, London), Anne Wagner (Professor Emerita at the University of California, Berkeley) and Heidi Zuckerman Jacobson (Director and Chief Curator, Aspen Art Museum), as well as an interview with Haegue Yang and a biographical text by Katharina Schwerendt. The MAO exhibition is Yang's first major exhibition in the UK; Yang is the AAM's 2011 Jane and Marc Nathanson Distinguished Artist in Residence.
