Product description

Pumping, plesiosaurs, porridge and pants! Monsters, mayhem and muck! Gorgeous George, Allison and Crayon Kenny are off to Loch Ness to take part in the World Porridge Championships but the locals are behaving rather strangely. Who wants to eat rabbit poo? And what will it taste like? Grandpa Jock has boil-washed his secret invention; whoopee cushion underpants, and he is hoping these no-nonsense knickers will protect his dainty little derriere on the long train journey up north. What's inside the talking tent and who can toot the tastiest trouser trumpets? Why are all the lakes in England drying up? Why does the soil smell of wee? And can George write a poem so shocking that it makes a school teacher wet her pants? George may come up with the rudest rhymes he can think of but a saboteur is lurking with pots of exploding porridge. Will celebrity chef Heston Bloomingheck lose his eyebrows in the blaze? And just what have the three American scientists, Professor Marmaduke, Commander Chuck Choppers and Peewee Peterson discovered beneath the surface of Loch Ness? There's something out there and it wees in the water! More pumps, dumps, humps, thumps and bumps in the third fantastic addition to the Gorgeous George series of books.

Author information

Stuart Reid is an award-winning Scottish children's author, who is rapidly growing in stature, thanks to the overwhelming popularity of his Gorgeous George series. His success began when his first book, Gorgeous George & The Giant Geriatric Generator, picked up the Forward National Literature Award 2012 for Middle Grade Fiction. Then in early 2013 the followup, Gorgeous George & The ZigZag Zit-Faced Zombies, was released to incredible acclaim from both reviewers and, even more importantly, kids. "Exciting, entertaining and inspiring! A star in the making." - Primary Times Magazine Stuart's rise in popularity can be explained by his hilarious, rude and exciting books, but it is also because of his hugely successful school shows. Since he first started performing at schools back in 2012, Stuart has entertained over 100,000 children, teachers and parents up and down the UK. In 2013 Stuart performed a month of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Since then he's been visiting two schools a day, making him one of the Britain's busiest authors. Stuart's uniquely entertaining shows are wild, wacky, crude, rude and hilariously fun for everyone involved. There are plenty of bogies, farts and false teeth flying! And because he talks to little people a lot, he has developed the 'Ninja Signing Stance', in order to come down to their eye level. "Absolutely Brilliant!" Wigtown Book Festival In between these sessions, Stuart still finds time to keep writing more Gorgeous George tales. In September he released Unidentified Unsinkable Underpants Part 1, with Part 2 out in March 2014. Later in the year he will release the sixth title in the series, The Power Pink Poo Pump! If this wasn't already enough, he will also be releasing six exclusive ebook short stories, one every other month. Stuart is also working on a number of other titles, including The Snotasaurus, which he's created alongside Calvin Innes. This weird and silly long-awaited book will be released in August 2014. Forward National Literature Award Winner 2012 Stuart is also a member of the Society of Authors and The Scottish Book Trust. He's now using his influence and profile to promote literature to children across the country: something which he is deeply passionate about. He has now been married for nearly twenty years and has two children, a Superman outfit, spiky hair and refuses to wear trousers. Review quote

Tidy Books - The book perfectly appeals to its young readers rather than parents who are often to eager to advise children on what they HAVE to read. My son loved hearing me read the vulgar parts and I even caught him reading it when I heard laughter coming from his bedroom. ET Speaks From Home - A quirky and funny story. If you think your children can handle disgusting and crazy ideas, this will be right down their alley. Mascara and Mud - "I asked my son if he had learnt anything from the book, his answer? That going for a 'jobby' in Scotland means to go for a poo! So there you have it. Educational as well as full of adventure!"
