Using recycled and inexpensive materials, parents and children can make cotton book bags, practical picnic blankets, a fabulous felt watch, and more. While parents handle the hard stuff, children can get involved by trying out the “keeping little hands busy” tips. You'll love the handmade treasures you bring to life—and so will your kids! Author Information
Kelly Doust has been scouring flea markets and charity shops for recycled fashion and homewares from her early teens, and making and reinventing things in her own trial-and-error way since she was a girl. For the better part of a decade, she worked in book publishing and public relations in Sydney, Hong Kong and London, and as a freelance writer. She was a regular contributor to Vogue Magazine, writes for "Australian Women's Weekly" and has written for "Dazed & Confused" and "The South China Morning Post"'s Lifestyle section. Her short stories have also been published in a number of collections.
