I have heard bout Authentic Happiness but never read it. I recently ordered it. However, I have always doubted the concept of "authentic happiness" and what it means.
To me happiness is about doing what I do everyday with myself, my relationships with family and friends and having a meaningful life with goals and achievements. I believe it was a good thing I started with Flourish first because I am in total agreement with Seligman that happiness is not something you can go chase after try to achieve...it isn't a goal.
Flourish is a well structured book and easy to read - non clinical and though I don't necessarily agree with Seligman's concept of not looking at the past for your future... the spread of positive psychology is a key development in world culture.
There's so much I learnt in FLOURISH especially how SELIGMAN's research is articulated beautifully in true everyday stories.
If you are looking at POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY and WELL BEING - this is certainly the book.
