Product description

Inspired by the overnight million-copy bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey comes Fanny Merkin's shrewd, laugh-out-loud funny and romantic parody. When naive college student Anna interviews the young handsome tycoon Earl Grey for Boardroom Hotties magazine, she finds herself drawn into his twisted world of, well, mostly naughty dialogue and light spanking. Anna is enthralled - after all, he's rich and buys every company she's ever worked for in an attempt to get close to her. Including Walmart. Though, on the flipside, he's a moody bastard whose 50 shames constantly threaten to overwhelm her. Can Earl Grey and Anna ever have a normal life together? Or will his dark desires and constant smirking drive her over the edge? From sparkling vampires to feminist concerns and BDSM, in Fifty Shames of Earl Grey Ms. Merkin passionately undresses popular culture, exposes the humour in our favourite contemporary fiction and plunges the depths of the desire to find our inner - erotic - goddess.

After reading the original Fifty Shades series I was definitely looking for something a bit more read-worthy. I thought this parody would be in a higher class. How wrong I was. I could not even finish this book which is rare for me as even if something is badly written I can still force myself to finish it.

This book along with the Fifty Shades series is not worth what I paid for them and definitley not even worth the paper they are printed on. It makes me wonder how society has sunk so low when trash like these books are printed. Also makes me wonder how stupid I have gotten to fall into the trap of buying them. I am so ashamed of myself right now.

I loved this, very quick read - after reading the fifty shades trilogy, i was looking for a book to fill the void :-) This was so funny! I would thoroughly recommend it!

Good on you, Andrew Shaffer! After being hoodwinked into purchasing the book that this book parodies, I found this version highly amusing. I wonder if Mr Shaffer
will come clean on the pseudonym he uses? All Thespians will recognise the true meaning, allowing for even more hilarity!!
If there are other readers out there who are, like me, scratching their heads at the 'success' of the fifty shades mass hysteria, do buy this book, which may act as an antidote.
