Three of the author's most popular works -- widely admired for their satiric wit, subtlety, and perfection of style -- brilliantly re-create the provincial world of the early-19th-century English countryside, focusing, respectively, on husband-hunting mothers and daughters, the humbling of proud lovers, and the return of a once-rejected lover.

When I purchased this set, I already owned a copy of 'Pride and Prejudice' and of 'Sense and Sensibility'. I found these Dover Thrift Editions very beautiful and that is why I bought them.
When I got them, it turned out that only 'Persuasion' had the flowery cover and 'Sense and Sensibility' and 'Pride and Prejudice' did not.
This, to me, is very disappointing.
That being said, the books are in proper state and the font is neither too big nor too small. So if you don't care about the spines and covers matching, then I would recommend this set, since it is very cheap and the quality is ok.

This box-set contains: Pride And Prejudice transforms this effervescent tale of rural romance into a witty, shrewdly observed satire of English country life that is now regarded as one of the principal treasures of English literature.Sense And Sensibility is the story of two sisters, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, who represent sense and sensibility, respectively.Persuasion limned the plight of young women who could escape the constraints of family life only by marrying, and suggests the foolishness of women who believed they were free and not dependent on the financial and social resources of men.
