Marie Treasure Revising for the MRCP is a bit like facing tidying up your room after a year's neglect: its hard to know where to start. However, if you talk to anyone who's taken part 1 chances are they used Kalra's Essential Revision Notes for MRCP, and so when I took Part 1 I thought this seemed like a good starting point.

Happily, I wasn't disappointed. Its an info-dense, waffle free book that covers all the main areas succinctly. It is clearly structured so its easy to find what you need, and important lists to learn are highlighted in boxes. My only hesitation with it is that it is very dry to read and so can be a little heavy going, and its conciseness sometimes means you need to have another book on hand to clarify areas you are less familiar with.

In terms of a core MRCP revision book it is currently unrivalled.
