    H. Unfortunately, I did not like this book. I could appreciate the personal struggle of the author and how important it was for her to explore her spiritual journey in order to truly understand her own identity. Yes; that I understood. What I don't understand is why she feels that it is okay to complain for the entire length of a book. I could not endear myself to the author because she seemed to see everything in the negative, when in comparison, her life seems fairly blessed. She had the financial security to spend a year overseas finding herself and the inner strength to do it at all. This is not an everywoman's story as it is marketed. Whilst her story is admirable and fascinating as a premise, the overtly self-indulgent and self-pitying becomes tired by the time we reach India. I wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't. I would recommend to older readers who may relate better to the story. by H.
