Reviews for Eat, Pray, Love
a good read
Although it is a bit overindulgent i quite enjoyed Eat Pray Love.
I can see why people criticise this book. A woman with loads of money and opportunities runs away overseas all expenses paid to have a great time, Boo Hoo right?
I have suffered from depression and I enjoyed this book because I can understand the way she felt. All the opportunities in the world dont make you happy. and whilst i never got the chance to go on a life changing trip, I admire Elizabeth Gilbert for confronting her issues an dealing with them.
Is it overindulgent? YES. But how can you write about yourself in a way that isnt?
Worth a read. by Rachael Wilkinson

EAT PRAY LOVE it or hate it
Why was this book such a hit? I must always finish a book I start and this got to be a struggle. I feel sorry that Ms Gilbert had to "get over" her marriage by travelling to italy, india, bali and commencing another relationship. Thank heavens for travelling otherwise Ms Gilbert could still be attempting to reconcile a failed relationship via work, family and friends. She must be counting her blessings for having been born in the late 20th century as opposed to 30 years earlier. by Deanne
