Nice card and book deck

Just received these today and I am very happy with them ,they are very nice cards and nice art work. The only thing I wasn't real happy with is the box it is open at one side and cards are easy to fall out other than that would recommend them :) Thank you Fran @ Infinite Rainbow Tarot Card Readingsshow more

Basics of basics.

I got this tarot kit out of curiosity and because it promised an easy way of learning. And yes, the book does give some basics of the tarot and an easy start. So this is a good set if you are a first timer in tarot and want to see if they interest you, but don't take all of it too seriously and if you find the cards interesting be ready too look for more info on the card meanings. In the book Josephine Ellershaw tells us her own learning technique which, was best for her, but it may not be for everyone. Ellershaw presents her learning technique in 22 steps, emphasizing thing that she finds easy for herself and being a bit vague on things that are not for her and so those are cut from her book. e.g. On reversed cards she simply puts it as: "personal choice; some readers do and some don't". Some of the card meanings are also abstract, so to some questions the card meaning, given by the book, might seem confusing and inaccurate. So over all this set is good for beginners and maybe for people who have had difficulty unterstanding the cards for the book does give good basics. But for those of you who already know the basics, this is most likely not for you.show more

For Every Beginner.

"I have struggled to learn the tarot on and off for a few years now, having originally have been brought as a gift (by my hubby), the Thoth deck. I kept trying to convince myself I could easily learn them, but every time I used them, I would come to a block and become frustrated. So I decided I needed a new tarot deck and so chose the Gilded deck, which comes as a Box set with a informative book on how to read the tarot. It has helped me loads!!! I am finally learning to read the tarot, and instead of my readings coming to nothing. I can now feel happy and excited that I am finally learning!"show more
