  What a great story! I didn't know much about Masada and this book was set in ancient Bliblical times with characters you could identify with. Very good story with lots to discuss for Book Club. I just wish it had ended differently--but who can change history! I'm now realizing I love historical fiction and this goes right up there with "The Red Tent". by Maggie Swithenbank
