    Ramah Sarapudin She's a shy, timid and high spirited wallflower...he was super confident, loud mouthed, handsome for his own good rake. He was nothing she wants and she was ...well the last one he was ever want to be on earth. The odd pair.

  • My favourite Kleypas!5

    Mark and Danielle Grisham This books, along with Seduce me at Sunrise, is my favourite Kleypas. There is something about a man who shows the woman he loves her in every way physically possible, but can never utter those three words - should be frustrating, but instead makes for a sweet tale. Evangeline Jenner is painfully shy, yet she finds enough courage to escape the oppression of her family and makes a shocking proposition to Sebastian, Viscount St. Vincent: a rake, a rouge and a scoundrel.

    Broke, he agrees. Yet once they return to normality, after their mad dash to Gretna, he realises just how pervasive Evie has become in his life. But of course it takes him a while to realise, and even longer to tell her, whilst poor Evie suffers thinking she means nothing.

    Perhaps a premise that has been done a few times, but really, does anyone do it better than Klepyas?

    They never imagine that it'd so perfect when they have each other.

    I love this book and after reading (book two - It Happened One Autumn) I couldnt wait to read the rakes Sebastian St Vincents story and was wondering how was LK going to redeem him. Well redeem him she did into one of the best male characters she has written.
    This is his and Evies story,and while she is shy and reclusive with a stammer he is a charming manipulative rake that cares only for himself. Evie is the daughter of Jenner (who is dying)and owns the biggest gaming club in London. Evie proposes to St Vincent (who is broke)to escape her cruel family an exchange for her inheritance.She knows he is a scoundrel after kidnapping her best friend but he is her only way to freedom.
    The chemistry between the characters is sizzling and the book is gripping as Evie finds her strenght and St Vincent his caring side with fun and adventure thrown in.
