The late Deirdre Madden wrote the first edition of Design for Living as well as several other Home Economics textbooks. Lorna Freeborn, B.Ed (Home Economics and Biology) has 11 years' experience teaching Home Economics. She is the author of the Leaving Certificate textbook Get Living! and has contributed several times to Irish newspaper revision guides.
