SpadesHigh After a doom-laden economic upheavel and Lucifer's hell spawns emerging and taking over the world - who's left to help (human)kind but Guilds made up of tough and devoted Demon 'Trappers.' This story is focused on one particular Trapper; Riley, a butt-kicking "girl" Demon Trapper. She is scrutinized for being a female in an all male dominated occupation, and being the daughter of a legendary Demon Trapper doesn't make it any less difficult. But that doesn't stop her. Through either stubborness, recklessness, or sheer bravery she takes down a Level 3 (which usually takes 2 SEASONED Trappers) on her own when she's only allowed to deal with Level 1's.
This book had me reading WAY pass midnight. Very fast paced and will not bore you, I'm on edge waiting for Book Two. I loved the fact tat Riley is no girly-girl and can take the punches, well, more like torn legs, bruises all over, and maybe a few near/close calls. Jana Oliver depicted Riley's world visually and emotionally enough that she had me snickering, fuming out of spite, and crying through the whole book. I do say that this was well worth the read. Would have been great to have as a Hardcover Collection. I'm eager to find out what happens next in "Forbidden Book 2(UK) / Soul Thief Book 2(US)" of the Demon Trapper's Series. by SpadesHigh
