Product description

Light Yagami is an ace student with great prospects - and he's bored out of his mind. But all that changes when he finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and now Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But when criminals begin dropping dead, the authorities send the legendary detective L to track down the killer. With L hot on his heels, will Light lose sight of his noble goal...or his life?

Are the pages in black and white? or is this the colorful version?

By Krissy Tolstrup 16 Jul 2013 5

Deathnote is obviously quite a popular manga and anime, more the latter but with people discovering it and wanting to own the mangas this box set is one thing I wouldn't hesitate buying. The cost of all the individual mangas would be around $130 or $120 if you can't get the exclusive 13th volume. The 13th volume is an encyclopaedia and a must for any deathnote fan.
To clarify someones earlier question these books are in English.
The price is amazing and the art on the box is wonderful, I got this for my birthday and I'm loving everything about it. I should also point out that I haven't seen the anime so Deathnote is an entirely new experience for me.

Just asking, are these books in English or Japanese? I don't want to end up with a Japanese book

books look great in the display box, and it keeps them safe, unfortunatly the velcro comes off in a few days and had to re stick it.
