A real treat to read
I must admit to being an avid fan of Ms Feehans books in all the series and to owning quite a few. And while I have alot there are some alright ones and then there are some great ones - of which Dark Slayer holds a special place.
While we have never met or heard of Ivory Manilov in any of the other books her brothers were mentioned in the Del a Cruz brothers novel (Dark Secret being one) she more that fits into the required strong heroine role and her centuries of long suffering and isolation have not made her bitter or hard ; a bit abrupt maybe or rude but very loyal.
Whereas Razavan is well known from at least four books and you think you well know his character before the book is even begun ...what a surprise he is and once more an excellent character and a perfect fit for Ivory.
The main thing that I think makes Ms Feehans books a treasure to read is that while the men are the classic romance novel guys=tall, dark, handsome, full of muscles and very protective .They all seem to value the womens strengths too and also admit when they don't know things which from my reading is very rare ,to me this book is a keeper and worth reading as part of the series as well as a stand alone novel .Congrats Ms Feehan by Eye Spy Books
