Product description

Portable, pretty and quick to learn - crochet is back in vogue and Sara Sinaguglia is one of its most talented advocates. Taking her inspiration and palette from her country cottage home and the glorious Dorset landscape that surrounds it, Sara has created 35 easy-to-make crochet projects for in and around the home. The book begins with step-by-step photographs demonstrating how easy it is to teach yourself to crochet. From cushions, coasters and bags to toys, scarves and her now famous apple cosies, bring a little of Sara's stylish vintage vibe into your crafting life. Gorgeous photography by top lifestyle photographer Yuki Sugiura captures the sheer pleasure of turning a few balls of richly coloured yarn into something individual. Never has crochet looked so beautiful!

Author information

Sara Sinaguglia is thirty-something mother of two living in Dorset, with a cat, two hens and several bantams. When not crocheting, sewing or knitting, she's running a cookery school with her husband, a Sicilian chef. With a background in design, interiors and antiques, Sara stumbled on crochet when she moved from London to the country. With a cottage in the middle of the woods, shelf edgings and crocheted blankets seemed to fit the eclectic mix of local auction room finds and mismatched tableware. Keen to stick to natural fibres and fabrics she realized she would need to produce her own work to avoid acrylic fibres in garish hues. After learning to crochet she picked up linens, cottons and yarns and started creating. She now sells her crochet creations via etsy and teaches crochet workshops. Her work was featured on the front cover of the sell-out first issue of hot new craft magazine, Mollie Makes. Visit Sara's blog: http://onechurchillsgreen.typepad.com/
