Reviews for Color
Wonderful lecture on understanding colors
I've had the opportunity to read lots of how-to guides/courses on this and many other subjects, but this book is surely something different. Written in the way everyone can understand, the author managed to explain complicated theories and facts about how to see, understand and reproduce the colors around us (and not only that). From how to prepare your working area to the science behind the colors, this book isn't a simple "painting in color for dummies" guide but a fantastic lecture that will surely provoke many of those "Aha!" moments along the way.
This book is something I'd recommend not only to art students or art appreciators but to those who would like to understand a bit more the world of colors and what they mean in our everyday lives. byunder review- Top review
COLOR
This would have to be the best book i have ever read about color. Mixing color, using color and the theory behind color. All written in a language that anyone can understand.
I teach art to adults and i have found that using quotes from this book has made is so easy to explain color to my students.
I am a visual learner and the pictures just walk you through the story.
The words are easy to understand and my retention of what I read was unexpected.
I recommend this to all my students and they all go out and purchase it. by patrick Ketter COLOR
"If you want to know, in language that you'll understand, what is colour, its make-up, how to identify them, how to mix them, how to use the mixes, how to paint with them, understanding design colours; if this is what you want to know; buy this book it's in my opinion the best available." by a Book Depository customer
