Cassandra Clare was born to American parents in Tehran, Iran, and spent much of her childhood travelling the world with her family, including one trek through the Himalayas as a toddler where she spent a month living in her father's backpack. After college, Cassie lived in Los Angeles and New York, where she worked at various entertainment magazines and even some rather suspect tabloids where she reported on Brad and Angelina's world travels and Britney Spears' wardrobe malfunctions. She is the author of the internationally bestselling The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices series.

This book is fantastic, I must say that I loved it!
City of Heavenly Fire is a very well written book that defiantly tweaks your emotions but I did find that there were some problems with it. My first problem was that the book had a lot of references back to The Inferno Devices that if you hadn't read that series would be very complected to understand. The people that were referenced had a strong connection to TID luckily I have read all her published book so I found it easy to understand.
That was the only problem I had with this book, I love how Clare didn't make some of the really important characters (besides Jonathan) die. Honestly this book is amazing and I give it 5 stars!
I suggest you read this book because it is amazingly written and I loved it, read on!
