I really enjoyed this book. I started out racking up massive fines with it at the library and decided it would probably be cheaper to buy it. The book has a great range of recipes, usually pretty simple ingredients. Some recipes need a little bit of discretion (Honey Cake- overpowering to say the least) but there are some real winners in there (Italian Polenta Cake). My main criticism of the book is that it does miss out on some fairly obvious choices- regular cheesecake for instance, and I was expecting there to be a pavlova recipe in there somewhere (there isn't) but I'm Australian, I expect there to be pavlova recipes in every cookbook.
