DescriptionBefore Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon -- from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence. Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy. Reviews for Bossypants
The master of metaphors and similes
There's no doubt Tina Fey is a terrific writer and a talented comedian. Tina writes of her journey in comedy that has taken her to where she sits today. This book is full of witicisms and entertaining events of Tina's life. If you enjoy 30 Rock, you will enjoy this book.
The only downfall (or more due to my personal nosiness) I found of is that Mean Girls is not mentioned. I wasn't interested so much in the drama behind it but I would have liked to know about Tina's inspirations for writing and comedy, especially in what has been one of the most memorable movies of the twentieth century so far. If you're reading and reading, waiting for it to be mentioned - you're going to be disappointed. by Julia Anne Calabreseunder review
Tina Fey is absolutely hilarious. I loved this book, because of it's (hers) great humour. There were many times when I couldn't help but laugh out LOUD :D by David Lajko
