Product description

Tashi is too cunning for the warlord and the wicked baron, and far too clever for the giant. He's craftier than the witch and quicker than the demon and much braver than the ghost. But, don't take his word for it! Read his amazing adventures for yourself and decide whether Tashi really is the world's smallest superhero or just a terrific storyteller! Classroom activities for the Tashi books are available to be downloaded from the Allen & Unwin website. Large print and black and white drawings make the books ideal for first readers and the themes of storytelling, friendship and adventure will inspire classroom discussion.

Author information

Anna and Barbara Fienberg write the Tashi stories together. When Anna was a child, Barbara read bedtime stories to her and they would travel to all the secret places in the world through books. They started making up the Tashi stories when Barbara remembered how, when she was a child, she used to tell stories, creative fibs...whoppers! And kids would crowd around, dying to hear her latest tale. Anna and Barbara talked about a character like her - someone who told fantastic stories - and over many cups of tea they cooked up Tashi! Kim Gamble is one of Australia's leading illustrators for children. Barbara Fienberg writes the Tashi stories in collaboration with her daughter Anna Fienberg.

My 7 year old adores this book. It's been a great step up from early readers to something a little more "wordy" and with simple but enthralling story lines. We have spend hours reading this and every time he says "Oh I LOVE this book".
