The author is very talented at painting a picture of renaissance Italy in your mind but the language is terrible. None of the characters speak like they do in the game and there is rather odd slang terms that do not feel authentic to the series. If the conversations were more in keeping with the games then this book would be amazing.

I enjoyed the book. It pretty much follows the storyline for the game with a few extra lines added in here and there. I found the book somewhat addicting . But Oliver Bowden language isn't really up to scratch and the last chapter seems rushed.

Great story, follow the storyline of the game, but if you played the game don't hesitate to read this book. It follows the storyline but adds some nice extra's to it and it makes it even better!
