Wonderful Fun
This is the fourth book in Gini Koch's series featuring former marketing whiz Katherine "Kitty" Katt (following "Touched By An Alien," "Alien Tango," and "Alien In The Family"), and it's a worthy successor in every way. In thumbnail, Kitty discovered that aliens from Alpha-Centauri live here, and she now lives and works with them, and is married to the strongest empath in the A-C community.
In this book, Kitty and husband Jeff Martini are expecting their first child. Since it has already been established that children who are born to mixed human/A-C couples have unexpected talents, anticipation is high. In the meantime, of course, a dark plot that threatens the A-C community is uncovered and needs to be thwarted.
These books are just pure, unadulterated fun. They feature a heady mix of science fiction, romance and comedy all blended together into a thrill-a-minute story line. The characters are all fully realized, with distinctive talents and personalities. With every book the cast of characters seems to grow, but Koch never loses her knack for snappy, snarky dialogue while blending the newbies into the established crowd.
Because of an extensive travel schedule, I read voraciously and go through new books at an alarming rate. I have, however, read and re-read the Kitty Katt books so many times that they now qualify as my comfort reading. They're the books that I return to again and again when I need a little relaxation or a few laughs. I highly recommend not only "Alien Proliferation," but the series as a whole. by Bhal
