DescriptionThis is a completely reworked and much enlarged (by over 60 pages) book based on Des Hammill's much respected earlier work, on how to get more power from the A-Series engine. It includes: cylinder blocks; crankshafts; con-rods; pistons; cylinder heads; clutches; camshafts and pushrods; engine assembly; ignition; carburation; and exhausts. The famous 4-cylinder A-Series engine was used in most Austin/Morris/Rover models, including Minis, Metros, 1300s, Allegros, MG Midgets, Austin-Healey Sprites, Maestros, and Marinas, for over 40 years.

    Author Information
Des Hammill is a New Zealander who now lives in Exmouth, England with his English wife, Alison. A professional engineer, Des has spent a lifetime building and trouble-shooting high performance road and race car engines of all types. His practical, down to earth approach, ensures his guidance is clear and that time and money is not wasted on modifications and components that don't deliver real, cost effective performance gains. Des also takes his own photographs and creates his own line drawings.
