Product description

The people of Cedar Cove know how to celebrate Christmas. Like Grace and Olivia and everyone else, Beth Morehouse expects "this" Christmas to be one of her best. Her small Christmas-tree farm is prospering, her daughters and her dogs are happy and well, and her new relationship with local vet Ted Reynolds is showing plenty of romantic promise. But...someone recently left a basket filled with "puppies" on her doorstep, puppies she's determined to place in good homes. That's complication number one. And number two is that her daughters Bailey and Sophie have invited their dad, Beth's ex-husband, Kent, to Cedar Cove for Christmas. The girls have visions of a mom-and-dad reunion dancing in their heads. As always in life--and in Cedar Cove--there are surprises, too. More than one family's going to have a puppy under the tree. More than one scheme will go awry. And more than one romance will have a happy ending!

1225 Christmas Tree Lane is the twelfth and final book in the popular Cedar Cove series by American author, Debbie Macomber. The main subjects of this final tale are Beth Morehouse, her ex-husband Kent and their daughters Bailey and Sophie. Beth lives and works at her Christmas tree farm at 1225 Christmas Tree Lane, where she also trains dogs. Her daughters have arrived for the holidays, and have invited their father to celebrate Christmas with the family, conspiring to get their parents together again. Kent throws their plans into disarray when he is accompanied by the very young, beautiful Danielle. Beth and Kent separately examine what went wrong in their marriage, but they are also reminded of the good times they had as their Christmas traditions are played out. As Beth deals with the presence of her daughters and her ex's new girlfriend, she also has the problem of finding homes for the basket of ten Lab pups left on her doorstep. Macomber uses the device of distributing pups, as well as the usual Christmas social events to recap the lives of all the characters in the preceding eleven full-length and two in-between novels, and to bring the reader up to date on what is happening in their lives now. Thus she touches on all the characters that fans of the series are eager to read about, before she finally resolves Beth and Kent's tale. There are one or two surprises (engagements, weddings, pregnancies and new babies) as well as the mention of quite a few mouth-watering Christmas recipes along the way. Macomber is the queen of feel-good, and fans will find this one extra sweet.

"Macomber is known for her honest portrayals of ordinary women in small-town America, and this tale cements her position as an icon of the genre."-Publishers Weekly on 16 Lighthouse Road
